July 2018 Congratulations to all our our students who participated in our amazing production of “Once Upon A Time” and “The Sleeping Beauty” this year! Thank you to all of our dancers, teachers, and volunteers who worked so hard on these productions. All of your hard work is appreciated. July 2018 was an amazing month to end on!!!
Nutcracker 2018 Auditions
Have you or your student always dreamed of performing in the Nutcracker? Auditions for Friends of DanceWorks WA 2018 Nutcracker performance are fast approaching! Auditions will be held for all dance students 5 and older at DanceWorks Performing Arts Saturday, September 15th starting at 1:00 PM.
If your student is performing in the Showcase this year, and has more than one number, please check the running order to make sure they have at least one number between the numbers they are performing to ensure they have enough time to change.
Siblings will not be allowed to remain at the studio without a parent in the building actively watching them making sure the rules are followed. We, the students, staff and faculty of VCB and DanceWorks appreciate your cooperation and flexibility while we prepare for our show. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Kelly, Chris or Karen who will be glad to help you with any questions you may have.

Parent Appreciation Week
As a thank you to all of our families and parents that contribute so much to our studio and success of our students, we have several events going on toward the end of the season.
It’s that time of year again and our June performance is quickly approaching. Because we have precious few weeks to prepare, it is important that all children attend class regularly. We want them to look confident and polished when they step on that stage and show you what they’ve accomplished all year.
Because students will be working hard in class and need to pay attention to their instructor, it is important for dance families waiting in our lobby to please maintain a quiet atmosphere while class is in session. If you are bringing your child to class with younger siblings, please bring something quiet for them to do. Running around the studio, cartwheels in the lobby and doors slamming while class is in session, creates distraction and is not conducive to a learning environment.
Summer Dance Schedule
Vancouver City Ballet and DanceWorks offers many dance classes, camps, and one-day camps July through August. Please stop by the front desk to pick up a summer brochure to learn more about these classes, camps, and one-day camps and get registered for summer.
Our classes, camps, and one-day camps are always a big hit, and space fills up fast, so don’t wait to enroll!

Tiny Star auditions will be on Friday June 15th June 2018 from 5:00-6:00 PM. Bring your best smile and your dance clothes!
